The company Jos. Koepfer & sons GmbH were created 1867. In May 2005 the EMAG group transferred the majority of the company Koepfer and integrated these in its authority center for the gear wheel manufacturing.

In the three companies of the KOEPFER group today altogether about 450 coworkers are busy. The conversion amounted to 2004 approximately 60 millions "€.

Beside the master seat of the company in ford cheeks in the Black Forest the enterprise has locations in VS-Schwenningen, Hungary and the USA.

Since generations the gear wheel and its production are dominating topic. At the location Schwenningen gear-cutting machines develops and builds the Koepfer teeth machines GmbH & CO kg for the production of highly precise teeth. Customers for this division are world-wide in particular the manufacturers of electric power tools, gear motor manufacturers as well as ancillary industries for the automobile industry.

In the CIM KOEPFER Cutting Tools GmbH, a participation of the Jos. Koepfer & sons GmbH, are developed and produced teeth tools for all rollable teeth profiles with all profile modifications.
