Karl Fazer, actually Karl Otto Fazer (* 16 October 1866 in Helsinki; "† 16 August 1932 in Jokioinen, south Finland) was a Finnish baker, Konditor, a Chocolatier and an entrepreneur for chocolate and sweet goods. He is establishment father of the today's company Oy Karl Fazer off and the mark Fazer.

Fazers father Eduard Peter Fazer (actually Fatzer) had emigrated a Swiss and to Finland.

The young Fazer learned the baker and Konditorenhandwerk in Berlin, Paris and sank Petersburg. With yet 25 years it did not open "a Russian French with confectionery in the city centre of Helsinki ". Its actual interest lay however in the industrial production of chocolate, Konfekt and chocolates. it began 1884 with the manual manufacturing of sweet goods in the of the three years later opened it the first factory in another building. 1898 it could refer a larger factory building with its enterprise.

In the following years the enterprise expanded, 1908 became the mark Frazer registered registered trade mark and 1911 created the entrepreneur together with a British partner likewise in Helsinki a cookie factory. At the same time it referred representative business premises for the sales of its products. At this time Finland was still autonomous large principality in the Russian realm. After release 1917 also Fazer profited from the rapid economic upswing of the country and developed into the 1920er years above all cookie production. Except in production and selling invested Fazer also into the elevated catering trade: 1930 were opened in Helsinki in a new building an elegant modern with Patisserie and restoration; Fazer gives it in Finland until today.

Karl Fazer withdrew himself into rural south Finland and left the business to its children. Privately he dedicated himself the Ornithologie, to fishing, the hunt and the nature protection: Several Finnish nature parks developed on its suggestion. 1932 died Karl fiber in Jokioenen. Today the company Fazer is an internationally acting group.
