Beside the classical baker's shop business the Kamps AG entered besides into the production of baking goods for the food retail trade and the catering trade, by acquiring among other things the Traditonsmarken golden toast (gegr. 1963) and Lieken Urkorn (gegr. 1925). 2002 bought the Italian Barilla group the majority of the shares and forced the founder Heiner Kamps to the door from the company. Since that time the conversion of 1.8 billion decreased/went back "€ 2002 on 1.4 billion "€ 2004; 2002 came the company into the loss zone. The number of the coworkers sank in the same period of scarcely 14,000 to 11.400. This declining development appeared however already before the Barilla assumption.
