Morosow was a financial director of the Russian crude oil company Kurskaja in Kursk and 2005 had for the first time visited. He was suggested by president Eduard Kokoity to the Prime Minister and selected on 4 July 2005 by the regional parliament in Zchinwali. Kokoity explained, he had selected Morosow, because he is not complicated into the regional corruption.
Morosow sees the recruitment of Russian investors as its major task and strives to unite south and Nordossetien economically and politically more strongly. Its first foreign attendance led it in August 2005 into the nordossetische capital Wladikawkas.
