July IANA Blasius (also: Julchen; frz. Julie Blaesius) (* 22. August 1781 in Weierbach with Idar Oberstein, "† 3. July 1851 in Weierbach) be the German bride the Johannes

It lived three years long with the legendary robber "Schinderhannes" (about 1778-1803), which Johannes was called civil, together. Their notorious loving was cut back on 21 November 1803 with 19 its Kumpanen in Mainz. In French documents of that time the two "Julie Blaesius" and "Jean Buckler" were called.

Life

July IANA Blasius was the daughter musi edges and of the Johann Nikolaus Blasius (* 1751). As a child she was to be seen together with the father and the sister Margarethe (* 1779) on markets and with Kirchweihen as and Geigenspielerin.

The death year of "Julchens" father and sister is not eruierbar any longer, because the church books of Weierbach from the time of 1798 to 1830 are only present in fragments. From this however - after report of the minister ith R. Erich Henn from Idar Oberstein - the way of writing of the surname Blasius comes out. As first name in the literature every now and then also Juliane is indicated, as surname sometimes

Even if it indicated later for the process, than to have been kidnapped, the Blasius might have become acquainted with the Schinderhannes Johannes mentioned Easter 1800 with an appearance on the Wickenhof with Kirn. The statement might have been an emergency lie, because the "Julchen" could have fled later, if it were in absence of the "Schinderhannes" than furnace hole" on the way.

After two weeks a meeting in the forest with Weierbach, initiated after, the Blasius seems to have remained with the already volatile robber. Its sister Margarete became the loving Peter Dalheimer from gang.

After the secret meeting in the forest with Weierbach the "Julchen" pulled from now on with the "Schinderhannes", which had eight before their already other loving, by the country. Four of the loving are in particular well-known: Elise Werner, Buzliese Amie, Katharina Pfeiffer and Margarethe Blasius.

On the high point of its power around 1800 the "Schinderhannes" was with the "Julchen" and its gang on the Schmidtburg in the cock brook valley, half purged, above Kirn. The castle had been left for the French Annexion 1795 by its owners. In the nearby village Griebelschied even celebrated the gang in a hotel a public "robber ball".

Together with Johannes took part "Julchen" Blasius several times - partly in man clothes - in brutal would attack, with which it accepted it even that the victims - like the Jew Wolff Viennese in Hottenbach - were tormented. In the novel under the liberty tree (1922) the robber bride is explained to the authoress Clara Viebig (1860-1952), originating from Trier, as courageous, scruplesless, temperful and attractively.

In Bruchsal the Blasius bore then one soon thereafter the deceased daughter. After the arrest of the gang Julchen bore then on 1 October 1802 a son, who should be baptized Franz William and be adopted later by the Mainzer tariff guard Johannes white. Over the later fate of the son nothing is well-known.

In the same year also its sister Margarethe had to answer for itself because of theft and Herumlungerns and to serve a detention in Kaiserslautern.

"Julchen" Blasius was condemned during the process against the "Schinderhannes" and its Kumpane to two years prison and served its detention in the correction house in Gent (Belgium). The relatively mild punishment was based on the fact that their loving tried to relieve it again and again during the procedure. He said: "I enticed it, her am innocent." The court place Mainz was called at that time Mayence and was appropriate in the French you for Mont Tonnerre ("thunder mountain"), and the "Schinderhannes" as French citizens "citoyen Jean Buckler" was accused.

After its dismissal from the correction house "Julchen" worked as a housemaid at the care father of their son in Mainz, turned then however, of white or its official before sexually troubled, after Weierbach back and became there the wife gendarmes named evils, who during the wars of liberation died. On 2 July 1814 she married then her verwitweten cousin, whom local police servant of Weierbach Johann Blasius bore and further seven children, from whom however only two reached the adult age.

In the literature the "most well-known Weierbacherin" is differently judged. The mentioned Clara Viebig worked their role most clearly out, departed in addition, relatively far away from the secured facts, by shifting many episodes by "Julchen" into its own place of birth Trier and in the Moseltal. Carl Zuckmayer (1896-1977) adhered more to the facts, made the "Julchen" however in the play "Schinderhannes" for more the edge figure.

In later years July IANA Blasius was admired curiously occasionally by in Weierbach through traveler stranger. It is to have told then still gladly" with a liquor "of its time as a robber bride, who regarded it even as the most beautiful of its life. When thereupon 1844 a public prosecutor from Saarbruecken that one visitierte itself as a" woman of the Schinderhannes old persons, he found her" immaculately dressed "and" still well conserves "forwards.

July IANA Blasius survived the "Schinderhannes" by 47 years and deceased on 3 July 1851 at the age of 69 years in their place of residence at the consequences of the water craze.

History of the impact

The Julchen of the Schinderhannes became already lifetimes part of the legend forming around Johannes Together with the numerous literary converting of the Schinderhannes material the Blasius became also to the main figure in Clara Viebigs novel under the liberty tree (1922), here however not only with legendarischen courses, but also also after Trier and in the Moseltal of shifted Vita. One the further Blasius focusing representation offers Armin Peter Fausts Julchen or the second life

During the 1990-er years in the close region the play "Julchen or the second life" was frequently specified by Armin Peter Faust from Weierbach. At that time still at least eight descendants of the "Julchens" lived in Weierbach.
