Joseph Erlanger (* 5 January 1874 in San Francisco, California; "† 5 December 1965 in Saint Louis, Missouri) was an US-American neuro physiologist. For its discoveries over the highly differentiated functions of the individual nerve fibers it kept 1944 common with Herbert S. Gasser to the Nobelpreis for medicine and physiology.
