John Wesley Hardin (* 26. May 1853 in Bonham, Texas, the USA; "† 19 August 1895 in El Paso, Texas), also Wes or Little Arkansas mentioned, was an US-American gun hero and series murderer. It was considered as one of the most dangerous gun men of the American west.

Hardin had famous ancestors - a Hardin had signed 1836 fought in the battle of San Jacinto on texanischer side against the Mexicans, another the texanische declaration of independence, sat Wesleys grandfather in the congress of the Republic of Texas, and after judge William B. Hardin was designated the Hardin County.

Wesleys father was a Methodist minister and hoped, its son might have likewise become ministers, although he had to work as teachers and at the same time as a lawyer, in order to hold the family over water. When Wes was two years old, the family pulled in southeast Texas, where the boy learned handling the weapon by the hunt and (while the American civil war) by firing exercises on fixed images of Abraham Lincoln.

At the age of eleven years carried Wes its first serious fight out with a knifing hurt it another boy at chest and back. The other survived, but Wes had proven for the first time, how dangerous he could be. With fifteen he shot former slaves, and shortly thereafter he lured three soldiers, who wanted to arrest him, into an ambush and killed her. Three years long it operated in Florida and Alabama as cattle and a horse dealer, operated themselves a Saloon and a wood action and led a to a large extent inconspicuous life. 1877 however it was arrested by Texas Ranger John Armstrong and other order guardians in a course in close proximity to Pensacola (Florida).

During the following court hearing Hardin was condemned to an imprisonment by 25 years in the texanischen state prison by Huntsville, where he completed law studies during the detention.
