Johannes (* 19. March 1929 in Vienna) is a Austrian accident surgeon.

studied in Vienna, its specialist training completed it from 1955 to 1962 in Vienna, Berlin, Sweden and England, 1967 and 1968 in New York. Since 1983 university professor is, one year later became it director/conductor of the accident surgery at the Lorenz hospital in Vienna. He is co-editor of the magazines "current Traumatologie "and "accident surgery ". 1993 initiated the building of a hospital for accident cases in Temesvar, the Casa Austria.

1994 it solved a debate over the work time law in hospitals out ("affair ").

2001 were distinguished with the cardinal king price.
