Jean Baptiste you Casse (* 1646 in Bayonne, "† 1714) was a French Bukanier and admiral.

Since its parents were Huguenots, it was not accepted to the French government service, on which it stepped into the service of the Compagnie de a French trading organisation for the African area. There it operated as a slave trader and sold themselves his commodity in the French addresses in the Karibik.

After a successful travel he equipped himself in Saint Domingue of its profit a ship, with which he kaperte a Netherlands trading vessel fully loaded. After its return to France it delivered half of the booty to the crown, on which it of Ludwig XIV. as a second lieutenant to the French navy one took up.

1691 he was appointed the governor von Saint Domingue, where he provided soon the respect of the residents Bukaniere.
