Jarlsberg is a traditional hard cheese from Norway. It has the form Swiss of a Emmentalers, is however a tenth smaller. Its taste is more nussiger and sweeter. The mass is gold yellow with holes in different sizes. One can use Jarlsberg as board cheese, or sand yielding cheese. One can serve it also well to wine, beer or Aquavit. Large quantities of it are exported, particularly into the USA.
