JARA (Japan Robot Association) is an important federation for industrial companies from the robotics range. Seat of the federation is in Tokyo (Japan).

History

The federation was created 1971 as Industrial Robot Conversatione. 1972 took place a renaming and a reorganization in Japan Industrial Robot Association (JIRA). There the field of application of the federation extended to robots did not only plan 1994 renaming in Japan Robot Association (JARA).

Main activities

The activities of the JARA are various nature. On the one hand principles and visions are compiled and specified for the robot industry, as well as set standardisation measures within the robotics range.
