James Bulger (* 16. March 1990; "† 12 February 1993) was an infant, who was murdered by two ten-year boys in Merseyside, England. This murder at a child, committed by two other children, released rage and large frightening in the united kingdom and received world-wide attention.

The authors, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, were condemned in November 1993 to the legal minimum punishment. In the appeal instance the punishment was raised to ten years imprisonment.

Over 300.000 humans signed a Petition, which demanded from the Minister of the Interior at that time Michael Howard to increase the punishment further.
