The X-type is a vehicle of the middle class of the British manufacturer Jaguar. The sedan was introduced 2001. In the year 2004 the combination model was introduced.

Jaguar represents the entrance the vehicle manufacturer to the X-type into the middle class.

The X-type divides the understructure partially with Ford the Mondeo.

The gasoline-driven variants X-type have in series an all-wheel drive.
