The company Jackson is an US-American manufacturer of E-guitars and E-basses. Their head office lies in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jackson is together with Charvel a "subsidiary" of the guitar manufacturer Fender, which is already since 1946 one the largest guitar farmer of the world.

Fender is located in the guitarist scene for qualitatively high-quality guitars with a warm, soft sound. With Jackson Fender entered also at the same time however into the Heavy Metal scene, in which HiGain sounds and modern Designs are decisive. With the per, JS and X-series Jackson could make itself a name in the Heavy Metal scene, and models like the King V, Kelly or Rhoads are already almost legendary.

But beside the Design fender and Jackson guitars differ particularly in the sound: While Fender almost uses excluding Singlecoils, which have a lower output level and a softer sound, Jackson sets predominantly on the power of the Humbucker. The high output level is important thereby for an optimal, pressureful Distortion, which does not sound matschig "or dull ".
