iz3w designates the information center 3. world in Freiburg. This came out from the 1968 created ADW, that as contraction for action 3. World stands.

The information center 3. world is concerned in particular with the publication of the magazine of the same name. A further focus lies in the collection of newspapers and magazines, which are accessible in archives of the public. The emphasis of these activities is with topics, which concern the third world as well as light up the north south conflict.

iz3w is further the title of the magazine published from the information center 3. world (ISSN 0933-7733). The iz3w is beside that Africa south (Bonn) one of the oldest independent magazines of development policy in Germany. It appears to registered association since 1970 and by the action third world is given change.

It is available and also on-line orderable in different book shops and third world shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
