The Ischmasch Maschinenwerke in Ischewsk (cyrillic: : are an important manufacturer of weapons and vehicles of Russia. The establishment of the work goes back on the year 1807 through a decree of the Zaren Alexander I. it ordered during the Napoleoni wars the establishment of an iron foundry at the river Isch. There late anchor for Russian ships and cannons were poured. Since that time Ischewsk beside Tula is a center for the production of infantry weapons. During the two world wars millionfold rifles of the type Mosin Nagant were manufactured here. Since 1949 followed then rifles, which were developed by considerable technical designers such as Mikhail Kalaschnikow and Jewgeni Dragunow. Beyond that the company manufactures airplane on-board weapons of the design engineering department Grjazew Schipunow. Here an overview:
