Substantial costs can be saved by the omission of the camps (capital freeze costs, camp infrastructure costs etc.). However it is to be noted that as a result of the relatively small constituted quantities a higher cost price arises and thus a part of savings again equalizes. To determine here is it important that most ranges, within which this politics apply its exhibit a not dominating material costs portion.

By the small market power of the enterprise, which is caused by the small order quantities, the special attention is to be put on the procurement market study. It is to be known essentially, which suppliers offer which products for which conditions at the market. Only so waiting periods can be prevented.

It mostly concerns at the singleconstituted goods special wishes. In the course of this procurement it mostly comes therefore to long supply times, which affects the service degrees of the enterprise negatively. On the part of stock management it is to be made certain that the special wishes of the internal users are kept as small as possible.

In order to exhaust the reduction of costs potential completely, long dates of payment should be agreed upon, since the time of the procurement and the time of the payment of the customer lie far apart.

Range of application

The single procurement applies if necessary its within the range of the single and small-batch manufacturing very frequent. Although it covers not all politics fields of stock management (stock management, supplier and user), it is nevertheless a very probates means in the range of the procurement strategies.

Disadvantages

• no immediate supply and production readiness
• low service degree (applies only ideally)
• frequent supplier changes
• intensive market study

This disadvantage results among other things, even if the enterprise must count also to bad conditions and long order times on the part of the supplier.
