Ibanez belonged to the Hoshino Gakki Group and is a Japanese guitar, bass and an effect equipment manufacturer, which were established at the market to one the prominent. Manufacturer of the guitars is however predominantly the company Fujigen Gakki in Matsumoto (prefecture Nagano). It is also at the same time the manufacturer of Fender in Japan.

In the initial days Ibanez produced only copies other successful manufacturers, for example copies of the Fender Stratocaster.
