A hairdresser (also in German German Coiffeur) is a specialist for the care of the Kopfhaars and the organization of the hair-style. The occupation developed in Germany from the medieval occupations Bader and bar beer.
The word is derived from the French, where more friser as much as "comb the verb, ripples/crinkles "meant. The term hairdresser was never very common in the French and is mittlerweilen completely become extinct; it means there coiffeur arrange (of the French word more coiffer "the hair; comb ").
