Hydrema is a construction machine manufacturing firm from Denmark.

It was created 1959 in the northDanish locality where also one of the two manufacturing plants is, close Aalborg. The second manufacturing plant is in Weimar/Thuringia. The company concentrated in the earlier years on the building of excavator loaders.

The excavator loaders of the company Hydrema were not already in the initial years independent construction machines and were based as with most competitors on converted or modified agricultural tractors.

The Hydrema excavator loaders were characterised by special characteristics such as all-wheel drive, center pivot steering and four wheels equal in size. Also genuine wheeled loader work could be implemented by these characteristics. The unusual arm of the backhoe made possible to not only as usual swivel the operator 180"° already separates at the beginning 200"°, starting from 1977 was it the newer models of the 800er-Serie possible up to 280"° to be swivelled. Thus the operational sequences of the Baggerns and loading LKWs were facilitated with restrained building sites.

1989 led Hydrema also a small dump truck MBC 800 with 10 t pay load in the program.

Since 1996 also the East German Weimar work construction machines GmbH belong to the Hydrema company, whereby the offer of the construction machine pallet by mobile and crawler excavators as well as small loader was extended.

Today the international company concerns itself with the development, production and the marketing of a whole product array consisting of the most diverse construction machines. Hydrema is one of the few European companies, which is active still as a total supplier of modern and efficient earthworking machines. With the products by Hydrema it is to be mastered easily possible the most fastidious tasks in the construction industry and in the local and rural economy.
