A Huker (Netherlands Hoeker) is the name for sailing boats, which were used in the Hochseefischerei.

Huker possessed a large and a driver mast as well as a Gaffelsegel. In 18. Jh. led it still Rahsegel. The grossmast could be put down with some types for the yield of the Schleppnetzes.

• Note: Definition of "driver mast": The "driver mast" is a mast on ships with seven masts. There was so far only such a ship, the Thomas's W. Lawson.
