Overview

Its many patents from different ranges (gas units, airplanes, engines) witness from its enormous creativity. In former times the Junkers "bath furnace" was the epitome of comfort. Junkers had its companies Junkers & CO. 1932 to Robert Bosch GmbH sell, which continues the trade name for these well introduced products up to the today's day.

Similarly it was issued Junkers airline, the Junkers air traffic AG. Both they and the German aero Lloyd could not survive without national subsidies, therefore both 1926 on the part of the state to German air Hansa were fused.

Other companies resumed after the restructuring of the Junkers companies by the Nazis subranges.

The name Junkers is brought to the bomber fleet of Luftwaffe meanwhile however mainly with the airplanes in connection, those under its name the backbone in the Second World War formed (e.g. attacks on England and airborne landing on Crete with Ju 52/3, by Ju 87). With your seizure of power the Nazis had however already pushed it from his company, because Junkers appeared to the dominant one as too unreliable. Occasionally Junkers stood under house arrest.

Between the world wars he dedicated himself however in particular to civilian aviation. Here the Junkers F 13, the G38 and the Ju 52/3m achieved special celebrity.

In Dessau Junkers dedicated itself to a second sphere of interest: architecture. Lively by the neighbourhood and co-operation with the building house Junkers created theoretical planning to metal architecture. From these considerations the lamella constructions of the roomy hangars developed. When resounding into over 27 countries this building method decreasing/going back on Fritz Zollinger one used.
