Hua Tuo * around 145, "† 208) was a famous Chinese physician at present the eastern Han dynasty. It used anaesthesia as a first physician with an operation. It won the anaesthetic from the root of the Dotterklees.

It was also one of the first physicians, who suggested gymnastic as welfare method. It developed a movement series "five animals ", which the patient had to imitate: Tiger, deer, bear, ape and Kranich.
