The Karl GmbH is a German enterprise, which manufactures music instruments. It was created 1887 by guitar and playing the violin farmer the Karl and had its seat in beautiful brook (today Luby in Tschechien).

Beginning 20. Century ascended the enterprise to the largest manufacturer of caper and pulling instruments of Germany and was at that time well-known due to the solid processing internationally.

To the 1910er/1920er years the acoustic guitar (concert guitar) was taken up to the Produktionsportfolio. On this sector the GmbH became leading the market. As consequence of the IITH world war the enterprise seat was shifted after Bubenreuth in Bavaria.

After the GmbH was integrated 1994 in the Boosey & Hawkes Group, an English tradition enterprise, which was active in the instrument making both in the area of the music marketing and, large sums were invested into the modernization of the manufacturing technology with 1997 shifted the enterprise from Bubenreuth to Hagenau.

In the year 2003 the GmbH was transferred by the enterprise The Music Group, when the Boosey & Hawkes Group separated from the section instrument making. In the year 2005 became in the way management of a Buy Outs under the direction of Klaus Scholler the company Karl GmbH & CO. Kg again independently.

Beside continuous the models implemented built with in Germany in first-class quality it gives to be manufactured meanwhile very inexpensive guitars which in China.
