The instrument making company Hoyer was created 1874 by Franz Hoyer in beautiful brook (today Tschechien). 1945 the company then itself starting from 1967 - after Arnolds death concentrated by its son Arnold Hoyer in Tennenlohe when attaining again-justified and and the assumption of the company by its son walter A. Hoyer mainly on the production of electrical, halfacoustic and Western guitars as well as E-basses, until the company 1986 gave the manufacturing up. From their product catalog as obskure creations originate as the Foldaxe, a fold upable E-guitar, or the Dobrobass in addition, the famous Schlaggitarre "gentleman in the Frack". Since end of the 1990er Hoyer guitars are still manufactured predominantly in more inexpensive, but quite high-quality quality in the Far East, in small numbers of items in addition, in Germany.
