Hiwatt is a British guitar amplifier mark.

The amplifiers were manufactured (and become today again) after military quality standards and be-expressed durably. Here it applies to mention however that the today's Hiwatt company has nothing more with that originals in common. Dave Reeves died 1981 and thus also its company. Hiwatt amplifiers are characterised through one very much loud, clear clay/tone. In contrast to the Mars resounding amplifiers established within the skirt range Hiwatt Amps sound "dirty", but have also with high distortion still sufficient "wire" in were never sound-used (and become) it e.g. from Pink Floyd, The Who and The Hives.
