Hermann of Siemens (* 9 August 1885 in Berlin; "Â 13 October 1986 in Munich) was a German Industrieller and grandchild of Werner von Siemens and Hermann von Helmholtz.
After a chemistry study and the graduation to the Dr. phil. occurred Hermann of Siemens 1918 as technical employees physicochemical laboratory of Siemens & Halske, Berlin the enterprise. 1928 it was appointed into the executive committee the Siemens & Halske AG, in order to take over one year later the line of the central laboratory. There it made important contributions for the development of the teleprinter technology. As a director/conductor of the central technique department it became 1935 member of the executive committee of the Siemens Schuckertwerke AG and later than supervisory board chairmen of the two master companies Siemens & Halske and/or Siemens Schuckertwerke "boss of the house ".
In this position, which he had after the death of his uncle Carl Friedrich of Siemens from 1941 to 1956, gave Hermann of Siemens important impulses for the reconstruction to the enterprise after the Second World War. It particularly engaged itself for the promotion of the scientific and technical research within and outside of the enterprise, then he was from 1955 to 1964 a president of the Fraunhofer Society.
