Henry Brarens Sloman, (* 1848; "† 1931) were a Hamburg buyer and shipowner. Already before and after the First World War he was considered as an important importer of Chile-Salpeter from his own mines.
- 1892 independent it made itself in Chile with its first saltpeter factory "property hope" in Tocopilla. it turned 1898 as if enrich man to Hamburg back.
- 1924 created Henry Brarens the "financial bank AG" from the late "Sloman bank". (1978 of the Dresdens bank taken over).
- He was the owner 1924 of the finished Chile house in Hamburg and the hunting seat Bellin in Mecklenburg.
Family history
- The great-grandfather that Hamburg family, William Sloman, pulled 1791 with his wife and his eight children of the British Great Yarmouth into the Hanseatic city. 1793 it already created its company, the shipping company Sloman, which exists this very day as the oldest shipping company of Germany.
- 1855 let son Robert Miles Sloman be in London the first German steam ship for the transatlantic traffic to build, the "Helene Sloman".
- A son of Robert Miles Sloman was Henry Brarens Sloman.
