The HELMKE group internationally is a German offerer of electric drives. The Helmke group with the master enterprise J. Helmke & Co. is specialized in special engines for the heavy and Petroindustrie and is here established as suppliers. The enterprise was created 1922 by Johann Helmke.

The Produktportfolio covers engines both for high and for low-voltage. Additionally electric rectifiers, frequency static frequency changers and transformers are offered. Helmke is to be after-finished able of engines after sample.

Helmke has 4000 min-1 a test field for electrical equipment with a continuous duty up to 1,5 MW, and up to 14 kV with 50/60Hz. It is also an examination with course frequency (16 2/3 cycles per second) possible.

Starting from the 70's of the last century Helmke addresses in France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy based. 1998 were reached a certifying ISO 9002. 2003 were furnished a branch in Moscow and a certifying according to ISO 9001 was accomplished.

The Helmke group employs 165 coworkers.
