Heinrich Thyssen, since 1907 Heinrich baron Thyssen Bornemisza de (* 31. October 1875, "† 26. June 1947 in Lugano) be a German entrepreneur, collecting tank and young son of August Thyssen.

Since its parents let themselves be separated 1885, Heinrich Thyssen already inherited a large portion of the Thyssen group led by its father in recent years. It studied chemistry, physics and mineralogy and attained a doctorate 1900 at the Ruprecht Karl university Heidelberg.

1906 he married Margit Freiin Bornemisza de et became Hungarian citizen and could from his father-in-law be adopted. Emperor Franz Joseph I. raised it to the baron.

After the end the Hague from there the Thyssen foreign enterprises drew and steered the First World War after to Thyssen. In the case of establishment of the united steel plants it drew 1926 into their supervisory board, brought however its part of the family inheritance into August Thyssen enterprises of in and foreign country GmbH and not into the united steel plants. It developed steel plant in Duesseldorf Oberbilk, today any longer not existing, which belonged since 1906 to the company, around the tube mill in Duesseldorf rice wood and that its own entrepreneurial group.

1932 moved to Thyssen into Switzerland and made themselves in Lugano as art collecting tank a name.

Its marriage became 1933 divorced, it comes of to four children, under it Hans Heinrich baron Thyssen Bornemisza de (1921-2002), who resumed the art collection and for which public made accessible. 1993 were bought this collection for US-$ 350 millions by the Spanish state and are under the name Museo Thyssen Bornemisza as one of the most important museums of the capital in Madrid.
