Heat-freely means the loss of presence obligation hours, mostly in schools, substantially more rarely in enterprises.

Announcing of heat free presupposes a corresponding set of rules, for example that at a shady attached thermometer at a certain time a certain temperature is reached or exceeded.

Rules could be for example:

• If the school thermometer in a break 30 indicates "°C or more, then starting from the next hour end heat-freely one gives.
• If the interior thermometer of a flat roof workshop in the morning reaches or exceeds the temperature of 28 at 11 o'clock "°C, then the already ends instead of at 14 o'clock at 13 o'clock, and the late shift begins instead of at 14 o'clock only at 15 o'clock.

The latter could be agreed upon in the context of an employment agreement between employers and work council, in order to avoid loss of production due to heat load for the coworkers or damage to temperature-sensitive materials or machines to want to avoid or the installation of an air conditioning. Or it can be the result of a negotiation between employers and institutions for industrial safety, e.g. if it had come several times due to heat to cycle collapses (improvement or keeping of the industrial safety).
