The Hartlauer Handelsges.m.b.H is a photo, an optics and a electronics trading venture with seat in Steyr (upper Austria). It is to 100 per cent in the possession of the family Hartlauer.

History

On 21 October 1971 the former press photographer Franz Josef Hartlauer opened his first business in Steyr (Pfarrgasse).

Within two years the enterprise could open two further branches in Steyr and became there the market leader. 1974 followed further business in Amstetten and Liezen, 1975 in Ried in the Innkreis and 1976 in bath Ischl and at this time largest branch, Linz. The expansion continues in other Lands of the Federal Republic, then 1977 Graz and 1979 Vienna already followed.

At the beginning of the yearly 2000 Franz Josef Hartlauer handed the management over to his son Robert Hartlauer. Few months later the enterprise founder deceased.

2005 have the enterprise over 150 branches in completely Austria.
