Har Gobind Khorana (* 9 January 1922 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India) is an Indian-US-American molecular biologist.

Khorana succeeded 1970 as first the artificial synthesis of a gene. It supplied substantial work for the deciphering of the genetic code. Mars-resound Warren Nirenberg and Heinrich Matthaei by the fundamental Poly U experiment for this the starting point had put.

It received 1968 together with Mars-resounds Warren Nirenberg and Robert W. to Holley the Nobelpreis for physiology and medicine.
