Hans's rider (* 1881; "† 1969) were a citizen of Berlin bacteriologist and public health specialist.

1916 described riders for the first time the so-called rider syndrome, a reactive inflammatory system illness, which expresses itself particularly in the so-called rider Trias from Konjunktivitis, Urethritis and Arthritis. 1977 decided to accomplish a group of physicians a campaign against the use of the designation rider syndrome. They pleaded to use for the description of the disease picture the term reactive Arthritis. Undisputed large scientific earnings/services of rider prevented however a success of this campaign.

As a president of realm public health authorities rider engaged himself strongly in the anti-smoker campaign, not least also due to Hitler's dislike against smoking. After the war rider came into American shank and preferred it not to engage itself after its dismissal any longer for prohibitions of smoking.
