Sir Hans Adolf cancer (* 25 August 1900 in Hildesheim; "† 22 November 1981 in Oxford) was a German, late British physician and biochemist.

Life

He was the son of George cancer, likewise physician, and its Mrs. Alma. It visited the High School Andreanum in Hildesheim and studied medicine at the University of Goettingen, the Albert Ludwig university Freiburg in mash gau and in Berlin from 1918 to 1923. 1925 acquired it its doctor title at the University of Hamburg, studied then one year long chemistry in Berlin, where he became later until 1930 an assistant of Otto Heinrich being castle at the institute for emperor William for biology.

After 1930 he worked again as a physician, which him 1933 by the new race laws (law for the re-establishment of the civil service with tenure) (because of its Jewish nut/mother) in the national socialism one forbade. It accepted an invitation to Cambridge, where it studied biochemistry. 1945 he became a professor at the University of Sheffield.Krebs' sphere of interest was the intermediate Metabolismus. 1932 he discovered the urea cycle and the CIT advice cycle, which also today often still cancer cycle are called. But 1953 the Nobelpreis for medicine was lent to it. 1958 he was appointed by queen Elizabeth II. the knight, 1966 lent to him its birth city Hildesheim the honour citizen right.
