The concept and the development of the vehicles for the ICE decrease/go back likewise on planning of the German Federal Railroads.

In the goods traffic the dispatch was completely stopped by bulks, after the competition was not to be held out against the forwarding trade any longer. In consequence of this development a large number of marshalling yards were shut down. In the same period the transport of bulk goods decreased/went back likewise as coal or iron ore.
