The former South German grocery chain Gubi ("property meant and cheaply") was well-known in of a resident family business of the family Proeller, in Augsburg until 2000 also by Ford of the same name autohouse (now Reichstein) in the Neuburger road. The formerly blue Gubi writing was converted yellow, when the chain was sold at Tengelmann, in the meantime all Gubi shops into Tengelmannfilialen and Gubi thus disappeared. After a restructuring with Tengelmann in the year 2000 nearly everything was closed these former Gubi branches, and/or sold to other chains. The autohouse in Augsburg had been created originally for the own truck fleet, themselves in the course of the years to an enterprise independent of Gubi.
