The Gozintograph is a graph, which describes, of which parts different products consists. The production process is multi-level thereby. The input can consist of raw materials, half and finished units. In the Gozintographen is specified, as these parts are if necessary quantitatively interlaced. The knots mark the parts and the arranged edges indicate, how much units of a part flow into a unit of a stored part.

The name of this graph is a jokeful Verballhornung: The mathematician Andrew Vazsonyi had called Zepartzat Gozinto as an author the Italian mathematician, which that nothing else meant as "the part goes into ". This designation is meanwhile generally accepted.

The Gozintograph is used particularly within the range of production planning for the dissolution of parts lists. Contents of the graph can be brought into a linear set of equations. Result then mostly very large, thinoccupied coefficient stencils, which make different solution procedures possible depending upon structure.

In the following highly simplified example are for a do-it-yourself enthusiast market 200 extension cords, 100 plugs and 50 doses to be produced. The final products consist of different parts, pins, screws, clips, interior, cover etc. in the following table are listed the individual parts.

SymbolPart

BExtension cord

DCover set of plugs
EKorpus plug

The entwinements can be transferred into a set of equations. It is first specified, as many units are used by a part.

A = 100 + 1 BB = 200C = 50 + 1 BD = 1 AE = 1 AF = 1 B
G = 1 CH = 1 CI = 2 EJ = 5 E + 3 GK = 2 E + 2 G

Due to the simple structure of this example the individual equations can be solved gradually. It is needed:

A = 300B = 200C = 250D = 300E = 300F = 200
G = 250H = 250I = 600J = 2250K = 1100

If a coefficient matrix is to be provided, one converts the equations accordingly, e.g.:

A = 100 + 1 B 1 A 1 B = 100.

One summarizes the constant of these equations then in the extended coefficient matrix, which is contained of the following table in the cells.
