Professor Dr. Gotthold Herxheimer (* 3 October 1872 Wiesbaden, "† 24 February 1936 Simon's Town), the son of the Jewish physician Dr. Salomon Herxheimer and his Mrs. Fanny Herxheimer (geb. Livingstone, before times lion stone), was a first director of the pathological-anatomical institute at the urban hospital in Wiesbaden.

Gotthold Herxheimer converted already in recent years to the Protestant faith. 1904 he became a first director at again created pathological-anatomical Institut at the urban hospital in Wiesbaden, where he remained up to his joggle 1934 by the national socialists. He wrote two to today valid text books and justified sciences call of this institute the outstanding into the present. It died 1936 at a cardiac infarct in Simon's Town with Capetown/South Africa.
