Gonzalo Rodriguez Gacha (1947 in Pacho, Cundinamarca, Colombia, "† 15 December 1989), because of its preference to large hats also "the Mexican" mentioned, was an important member of the notorious trust.

Gonzalo Rodriguez Gacha was born 1947 in the Colombian Pacho. There it began its career in the halflegal emerald trade. End of the 70's it entered into the drug trade.

He was together with Pablo Escobar and the Ochoa joint founder of the "Extraditables", a military group the drug dealer, who exerted itself for the protection of its interests and against the distribution into the USA, and which for the murder of Luis Carlo presidency candidates of the liberals a party was responsible to which for the elections 1990. had announced an intensified offensive for the case of its choice against the Drogenmafia.

Gacha was considered as very brutal and inconsiderate. Besides he was assumed first as a leader of the trust. Beginning of the 1990er years turned out however that Pablo Escobar held all threads in the hand.

Gacha is responsible for the establishment and promotion of many groupings oriented towards the right, which should protect first the cocaine industry against left rebels and other criminal combinations, and who are to today an important conflict party since over 40 years of persisting armed conflict in Colombia.

Gacha was shot on 15 December 1989 during a raid by a Colombian special unit.
