The scholars announcements are a German review and literature magazine. It is considered as the oldest still appearing scientific magazine in the German linguistic area.

In this technical periodical scientists strive to discuss contemporary scientific works critically. The first volume appeared 1739 under the title newspaper (EN) of scholarly things, since 1747 under line of the physician Albrecht of Haller. Since 1753 the magazine was published by the 1751 created Academy of Sciences to Goettingen and carried as far as 1801 the title announcements of scholarly things. 1802 were introduced the today's title; since then the magazine appears in the publishing house Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, in the year 2006 in 258.
