Glenfarclas Distillery is a Destillerie for whisky in Scotland (Speyside (high country)).

History

Glenfarclas was created 1836 by Robert Hay and got 1844 the license around whisky to burn. 1865 were sold the Distillerie at John Grant, whose descendant possesses this very day the Brennerei and reconditioned these 1896. In the years 1960 and 1976 the Distillerie was extended by in each case two on today altogether six fuel blisters.

Production

With a steel mashtun by approximately 16.5 tons, twelve washbacks by 50,000 litres each capacity, three wash-out is produced stills with in each case 29,600 litres and finally three spirit stills with in each case 25,000 litres, which are beaconed directly by means of gas. Over the annual production Glenfarclas is silent itself out.
