The DWJ, the abbreviation means German weapon journal, is since 1965 the oldest German technical periodical for firearms in Germany.

The magazine enjoys also beyond its target group a high reputation, there it without reisserische "exposures" done and the topics interesting for hunters, sport contactors and weapon collecting tanks essentially and neutrally, but regards naturally from the view of its target group.

Furthermore the magazine has a column over historical, in which on directly areas which are connected with firearms one does not report, for example from the range of the "wild west" very popular with front loader contactors, thus the pioneer time in North America. Since frequently the motivations of the Indians are located here in the center, this does not offer a perspective which can be found everywhere. The widths does not come also the time of the First and second World War too briefly and is critically analyzed.

Furthermore the DWJ publishing house GmbH is often high-quality publishers of many, specialized books about firearms. Also here niche books in the program are to be found, as for example reproductions of old sales sales.
