The German society for post office and telecommunications history registered association is one of the largest historical associations of Europe with nearly 20,000 members.

History

The German society for post office and telecommunications history on 23 June 1949 of the economic area united by 27 representatives of the head office at that time for the post office and telecommunication system, the regional directorate and the society for the study of post office history in Bavaria as "a society for German post office history "with seat in Frankfurt/Main one based. Structure/task

The office of the DGPT is in Frankfurt A.M. The association is divided into the six regional federations north, east, south, west, southwest and center.
