The German hotel and restaurant federation registered association (DEHOGA) is the branch federation of the German hotel and catering trade. It has approx. 250,000 members and operates information and lobbying for the German catering trade. In addition it appears as a wage partner on employer side and accomplishes marketing actions. Also the classification of the German hotels falls by this.

The federation is arranged into 17 regional organizations and three professional associations. The professional associations within the DEHOGA are:

• Hotel federation Germany (IHA)
• Union of the tenants of motorway service enterprises (UNIPAS)
• Federation of the international Caterer in Germany (V.I.C.)
