The German emission commercial place (DEHSt) is the national authority competent in the Federal Office for Environment Protection (UBA) in Berlin to the emission right trade. Substantial tasks of the DEHSt are the dispatching and expenditure of the emission authorizations, monitoring and control problems, the guidance of the national register as well as the national and international reporting.

The DEHSt is the responsible authority intended in the greenhouse gas mission mercantile law (TEHG) from 8 July 2004, which administers all aspects resulting from the greenhouse gas mission trade. It is the central approach place for the enterprises of the German economy, whose plants are subject to the European Union emission right trade. Beyond that it is contact point for the Federal Ministry of Environment, for the Lands of the Federal Republic (in particular the responsible national immission control authorities), for external commercial platforms and further Dienstleister.

The moreover one the DEHSt is a kind land register office. Each natural or legal entity, who wants to act starting from 2005 with the emission authorizations, receives here an electronic account for the posting of the transactions. In addition develops a national emission trade register in such a way specified, which works with a center for the European Union and all member states together.
