Quandt (* 28. July 1881 in Pritzwalk; "† 30 December 1954 in Cairo) was a German Industrieller from the family Quandt. He was the father of Hellmuth Quandt (the 1927 with 22 years died), Herbert Quandt and Harald Quandt. Its first wife died 1918 at the Spanish flu. Its second wife Magda Ritschel, nut/mother of Harald, married after the divorce of 1929 two years late Joseph Goebbels.

From the cloth factory inherited by its father Emil Quandt created Quandt a conglomerate from firm participation, in particular in the potash mining (winter-resound), batteries (depr., late VARTA), important for the production of fertilizers, metalworking and armaments industry (DWM, of metal works) and automobiles (BMW). 1937 lent the National Socialist government Quandt the title military industrial leader.

In the year 1946 Quandt was arrested due to its role in the wartime economy and interned. After its release in January 1948 it was classified in July 1948 in one legal proceedings as a During a recuperative vacation in Egypt it died on 30 December 1954.
