George value home (* 11 February 1857 in Stralsund; "† 31 December 1939 in Berlin) was a German buyer.

After the Second World War value home in the GDR 1949 was expropriated, in the Federal Republic of Germany bought the Hertie company 1951 the majority of the portions and resumed the enterprise under the name value home. The members of the family got a small remuneration and gave all requirements up on the firm portions sold at Hertie. 1984 acquired Hertie the remainder of the value home shares. Long time was the department store in the Steglitzer lock road/corner Treitschkestrasse of of great importance. Into the 1960er years it was strongly extended, which led to the restructuring of a whole residential area (direction sign horn route). In the following decades directly value home a large Karstadt department store and several considered shopping centres up to the corner lock road/fount route developed beside the department store, where since long time already a department store of the chain hero, was late Hertie.

1994 change also the only remaining department store value home at the cure prince dam as well as the Hertie company into the possession of the company Karstadt.

The descendants of the family value home live today in Germany and the USA and in the year 2003 actions against the company Karstadt on remuneration brought. A back conveyance of the firm parts and properties expropriated operated by them in the GDR failed 2004 before court. 2005 were rejected a complaint of KarstadtQuelle, a remuneration thereby was made more probable.
