Gentleman Mr. brook stone (* 15 April 1834 in Apolda, Thuringia; "† 4 February 1908) was railway pioneer and initiator of many railroad lines in Germany, in particular from small and secondary lines.

It created 1879 in Berlin the cent ral administration for gentleman Mr. brook stone (CV) and gave her the status of an open commercial company (OHG), since 1933 of a GmbH (whereby the way of writing in second and air courses changed). It created among other things 1895 the South German railway company (SEG) with seat in Darmstadt as subsidiary company, to which some courses of the CV turned into. Furthermore it summarized some its courses belegenen in Thuringia 1923 in the Thuringian railway AG (Theag).

Of the courses built by gentleman Mr. brook stone:

• 11.Essener streetcar, late SEG, today EVAG

belonged in the year 1939 still the numbers 3. - 8. as well as the following five courses:

• 12.Esperstedt-Oldislebener railway
• 13.Greussen-Ebeleben-Keulaer railway
• 14.Ruhlaer railway
• 15.Weimar-Buttelstedt-Grossrudestedter railway
• 16.Wenigentaft-Oechsener railway

and as secondary line-similar Kleinbahn those

• 17.Ziederthal-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft for cent ral administration for local lines.

From these twelve railway companies only the south resin railway and a part of the Osterwieck Wasserlebener railway lay in West Germany. After also with them the railway company had been given up 1965, CV to a pure bus enterprise, to transporting enterprises gentleman Mr. brook stone GmbH was converted.
