The gas economy year is basis of all contracts over gas supplies and the reservation of with the gas network carriers. The gas economy year begins on 1 October of a yearly around 06:00: 00 o'clock and ends for 1 October of the subsequent year around 05:59: 59 o'clock (e.g. from 1 October 2001 by 1 October 2002). It is designated after the year, in which it ends. This regulation was established in the gas economy, since to 1 October traditionally the heating season begins with increased natural gas need.
